Learning How to Fight Anxiety

Fighting anxiety. Consider those words. Anxiety. We’re familiar with that of course – it is simply a definition of what you are suffering from. But fighting. Consider that word. It is loaded with meaning and emotion. It evokes thoughts of some kind of battle, or struggle.

And in so many ways, trying to bring your anxiety under control is a fight. It is a battle. And really, it is a war. But how do you win?

The answer is in the words above. It is a war, and wars are won by a series of battles. The more battles you win, the closer you get to winning the war.

But I would like you to show me one war where all the battles were won by one side. It doesn’t happen. So don’t get discouraged if you sometimes struggle to fight your anxiety. You can’t win all the battles. Just win the war.
